Our Story

Decades of Experience. Engineered to Last.

Genesis was founded in 2024 by Matt Glickman and Justin Langseth. Their experience, together with that of the team they’ve assembled, spans enterprise data systems, engineering, product development, and customer delivery. They built Genesis around a problem they knew firsthand: even with modern data platforms, getting complex data work done still takes too much time and manual effort.

  1. Before Genesis

Learning Where Data Work Gets Stuck

Matt was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where he spent 24 years overseeing fixed income, equities, and asset management platforms. Justin founded several data and software companies, including Clarabridge, later acquired by Qualtrics for $1.1B. Both saw that demand for data kept growing, and how complex it was to build systems that could put enterprise data to work reliably.

  2. At Snowflake

Building for a New Generation of Data Teams

Matt and Justin helped build Snowflake’s product and marketplace capabilities. They saw what a modern data platform made possible and the work customers still faced in understanding legacy systems, building pipelines, and carrying knowledge from one project to the next.

  3. 2024

    Genesis Is Founded

After winning their fifth straight Snowflake hackathon with an AI assistant they built for the platform, Matt and Justin saw that AI could finally do real enterprise data work. They set out to build agents that work inside an enterprise’s data environment and use its own context to get the job done. Within weeks, Genesis had its first agents live on Snowflake Marketplace, in time for Snowflake Summit 2024.

  4. 2025

The Team Grows. Agents Go to Work.

Genesis brought together deep experience in data engineering, enterprise software, and customer delivery. Anton Gorshkov joined to lead engineering, bringing more than two decades of experience at Goldman Sachs. Vince Trotta joined to lead sales after a decade at Snowflake. Genesis agents moved into production use across regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications.

    Enterprise Security, Built In

The Genesis platform operates within each customer’s existing security perimeter. Jonathan Sander joined from Snowflake, bringing decades of experience across software, data, identity, and cybersecurity to guide our security strategy and build it into every part of the platform.

  5. 2026

    Context at the Core

Genesis’s Context Graph is a digital twin of your data landscape, connecting every codebase, pipeline, database, and SaaS tool at the level of data and intent. It captures not just what changed but why. That gives our agents full context, with no ramp-up and no lost tribal knowledge, and the graph grows with each interaction.

    Prover to Trust the Work

As agents take on more complex work, they need to do more than understand enterprise systems and how their data connects. They need to show the results are right. Prover by Genesis independently checks outcomes and flags discrepancies for correction and review, so you can trust the completed work.

story

Founded in April 2024 by Matt Glickman and Justin Langseth,

both early Snowflake employees. Genesis Computing emerged from a shared mission to revolutionize enterprise AI. Their collaboration began in 2018 at Snowflake, where they built the Snowflake Data Marketplace and contributed to significant platform advancements. In 2024, inspired by their experiences, they established Genesis Computing, launching the Genesis Bots Snowflake Native App at the Snowflake Summit. By building on Snowflake and utilizing the marketplace they knew so well, Genesis Computing is on a path to create a new paradigm for AI in enterprise environments.
